The Lawyers’ Committee for 911 Inquiry is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, and for defending human and civil rights secured by law.
Subject to the foregoing limitations, the purposes for which the Corporation is formed are more specifically described as follows: The organization shall conduct investigations and public education in the public interest regarding matters related to the tragic events of September 11, 2001 (hereinafter referred to as “9/11”) and the circumstances leading up to and following those events, with a focus on government accountability regarding investigation and prosecution of those responsible for the crimes related to 9/11 (whether those responsible are foreign or domestic individuals, corporations, or government entities).
A primary goal of the organization is to help the public, as well as law enforcement agencies and Congress, learn the full truth regarding the events of 9/11 including verification of those components of the official government story regarding these events that are true and exposing those components that are false. One method used by the organization will be the filing of Freedom of Information Act (hereinafter referred to as “FOIA”) requests to obtain information from government agencies that will then be disseminated to the public. The organizations purposes are limited to those specified and referenced in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The official explanation of the events on and surrounding 9/11 has not been established in a court of law or by an objective and thorough investigation by either Congress or the 9/11 Commission. Our overall mission is to develop and implement a detailed legal strategy to achieve transparency and accountability under the law, regarding the unprosecuted crimes of 9/11.
In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, the Congress initiated the “Joint Inquiry” and the government eventually also created the 9/11 Commission to investigate and explain what had occurred. Almost immediately, and in the years thereafter, serious questions were raised about both the Joint House and Senate Intelligence Committees’ Inquiry and the 9/11 Commission’s version of the events surrounding 9/11. Many observers, including notably the families of the victims, criticized both inquiries for failing to address key questions.
The Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of lawyers, investigators, scientists and concerned citizens created to promote transparency and accountability regarding the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

At a two-day Symposium ‘9/11: Justice in Focus’ held Sept. 10th and 11th at historic Cooper Union Great Hall in New York City, renowned technical and legal professionals formally committed to further investigate and comprehensively prosecute the crimes of 9/11.
The Conference featured keynote addresses by former Chief Justice and Honorary President of the Supreme Court of Italy Ferdinando Imposimato and New York Times “Pentagon Papers” attorney Daniel Sheehan who joined a panel of experienced lawyers providing legal analysis of forensic-evidence testimony from licensed engineering and architectural professionals.
Moderating were international human rights attorney William Pepper and New York University professor Mark Crispin Miller.
